7/20/09 - The whole family was
able to attend the Rainier Hunt Classic this year, which was held
back in Auburn, WA at the Argus Dog Ranch. Beautiful facility
with lots of good people in attendance.
This was Winslow Farms Aviatrix's debut
trial and she didn't disappoint. On Saturday, Ava started the
day by being Under Puppy Racing Champion. A little later, she
was Best Bitch Pup and then went on to be Reserve Puppy Champion under
judge Ken Bushell. On Sunday, Ava was Reserve Under Puppy Racing
Champion and then was Reserve Best Bitch Pup under judge Steve Darroch.
Angel Mountain Patriot "Rebel"continued
his winning ways at Rainier. On Saturday, in conformation, Rebel
was Best Dog Pup and then went on to be Puppy Champion. He also
kept up the good work in GTG by being Puppy GTG Champion. On
Sunday, Rebel was again Best Dog Pup and Puppy Champion and then Reserve
Puppy GTG Champion. Next year he'll be competing against the
big dogs, so we'll really see what he's made of then!
My girl, Salishan Urchin "Pip"
is always full of surprises. On Saturday, with a time good enough
for Reserve GTG Champion, Pip decided to leave the tunnel and find
an easier route to the rat and was disqualified. She made up
for it though by taking Reserve Barn Hunt Champion her first time
competing in the event as well as 2nd place in Open Super Earth, which
was also a first time event for her. On Sunday, Pip stayed in
the tunnel and took 3rd place in Under GTG and finished off by being
Barn Hunt Champion.
These dogs are always giving their
all and we couldn't be happier with the results for this year.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone next year!!
5/5/09 - The Wheatland Classic
was back this year. It was a small trial with a friendly relaxed
atmosphere. Although Battalia and Aviatrix were too young to
show, they had fun visiting with everyone and watching the older terriers
do their thing.
My 7 year old son, Ezekiel, competed
in child handler for the first time with Daydream Travis at the Wheatland.
He was the only child competing, but he still did a great job for
his first time out. I am very proud of my young man.
Solid Rock Alamo has grown up to be
one handsome boy. Mo did well in all events, taking 2nd in competitive
classes for both flats and hurdles. He was 3rd in adult over
GTG championship and was Reserve Open Dog under judge Sandhi Rogerson.
Angel Mountain Patriot is a Larry son
and he is his daddy's guts. "Rebel" made a stunning
debut at the Wheatland. On Saturday, he was Reserve Best Dog
pup, Reserve Puppy Champion and Puppy GTG Champion with a time of
4.78sec. On Sunday, things got even better. Rebel was
Best Dog Pup, Puppy Champion and Puppy GTG Champion with the fastest
time of all the dogs that day, 4.00sec. I just love this boy!
Salishan Urchin still has what it takes
to win in GTG! Pip was Reserve Champion under adult GTG on Saturday
and Champion under adult GTG on Sunday with a great time of 4.22sec.
Solid Rock Alleluia continued her winning
ways by taking Reserve Champion in over adult GTG on Sunday.
This girl has a great voice!
We are looking forward to heading to
the coast in July for the Rainier Hunt Classic. The little ones
will be ready to show then and we should have a great time!
8/24/08 - The one and only trial in
the northwest this year is come and gone. The Rainier Hunt Classic
proved to be a great opportunity for Alamo and Alleluia to make their
trial debut. I was unable to attend the trial, but a couple
of good friends were willing to bring Larry and Alleluia along with
them to show. They were only at the trial for Saturday, but
that was enough for the Solid Rock dogs to make their mark.
I can't believe that it's almost been a year since these pups first
made their entrance into the world.
Solid Rock Alleluia was the girl of
the hour, winning 1st in her 9-12 mos rough/broken bitch class, then
going on to be Best Bitch Puppy and Reserve Puppy Conformation Champion!
As if that was not enough, she also took home 1st in novice puppy
GTG, 2nd in open puppy GTG and finished the day out by being Puppy
GTG Champion. Congratulations to Alleluia's other mother, Maria
LaVe on this girl's big wins!

Solid Rock Alamo wasn't slacking either!
Alamo took 2nd in his 9-12 mos rough/broken dog pup class, 2nd in
novice puppy GTG, 1st in open puppy GTG and 3rd in puppy championship
GTG. This dog is one to keep your eye on! Congratulations
to Alamo's owner, Rachel Bowes on this fine boy!

Last, but certainly not
least, our main man Larry really kicked it up a notch against some
fierce GTG competition. Larry walked away as reserve champion
in adult under GTG. I love this dog! Larry's kids are
really taking after their dad and I am so proud of all these terriers
for putting everything they have into all they do. Now it's
time to snuggle up on the bed and be spoiled.

4/29/08 - What a great weekend
we had at the Richland WA funday put on by the Tri-State JRT club.
Larry took 1st place in adult under GTG and 1st place in weenie bobbing!
Larry and Pip's daughter, Alleluia came in 2nd for puppy GTG.
It was a good time of fun and fellowship.
9/4/07 - Larry and Pip's
puppies are here! Pip had 4 pups - 3 girls and a boy.
8/28/07 - We attended Rainier
Hunt Classic IX & X this past weekend in Kelso WA. The weekend
turned out very nicely with good friends, food and weather.
Larry took 1st place in his under rough/broken class on Saturday under
judge Mary Vale. Olympia cleaned house with a 1st in both novice
and open adult GTG. On Sunday, Larry took 2nd in his class under
judge Nancy Breakstone. I am very pleased with both of these
dogs and thier performance this weekend. They didn't let me
down.
