Salon Policies

While it is not our intent to be overly stringent, we have established some basic guidelines that will help everyone's visit to be pleasant and run as smooth as possible.

Appointments:   We, at Country Canine, understand how busy lives can get and how valuable your time is to you. If, for any reason, we are not able to make our scheduled appointment, we will call to let you know. We would appreciate the same consideration. If at all possible, please call 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment. If you fail to give notification, please be advised that you will be required to pre-pay before another appointment will be scheduled.

Please be on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule and a rebooking fee may apply.  If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, please understand that I may need you to wait while we work on another dog before I can accept your dog for their appointment.

Since we work from our home, we groom by appointment only and cannot accept walk-ins, even for nails. Please call and we can schedule a time that is convenient for everyone.

Pottying:   It is helpful if you refrain from feeding your dog on the morning of their appointment.  Messes in the tub, on the table and/or in the holding kennels are time consuming to clean (not to mention malodorous!).   There is a designated potty area in the front of the house for dogs to do their business. Please make use of this area before bringing your dog in for grooming. This will help alleviate accidents while being groomed. Please do not allow your dog to go to the bathroom elsewhere on the property as I have children that don't always watch where they are stepping!

Dematting:   Your dog's safety and comfort is our first priority, therefore we will not attempt dematting if it's in our professional opinion that the procedure will cause your dog discomfort and/or possible trauma to the skin. If we feel we can safely and painlessly demat your dog, extra charges will apply.

Fleas & Ticks:  If your dog is infested with fleas or ticks, please pick up a treatment several days before your appointment. Fleas/ticks on the property equals fleas/ticks on my dogs and in my house

Early Drop-off / Late Pick-up:   If you drop your dog off more than an hour before their scheduled appointment time or pick your dog up more than two hours after being notified that s/he is finished, a $15.00 daycare fee will apply. This fee will be waived if notification has been given prior to arriving for your appointment.

Leashes:   For everyone's safety, please ALWAYS have your dog on a leash while on the property. The best accidents are those that are prevented.

Handling Fees:   Any dog that exhibits behavior that subjects the groomer or the dog to risk of injury will be charged a handling fee of $10.00 and up.

Country Canine reserves the right to refuse or cease the grooming at any time before or during the procedure if the dog's behavior puts the groomer's or the dog's safety at risk.

Payment:   Payment is expected at the time of service unless arrangements have been made in advance. We accept Cash, Check, Visa or Mastercard. There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks.
